Naples Charter Boat, Fort Myers Fishing Boat

Fishing aboard the Rip Lip |
Captain Terry shows off this Tarpon from the bow of his guide boat, the Rip Lip. |

 |
Captain Terry's Fort Myers fishing boat is an 18' Flats & Bay Boat, with a 150HP Yamaha. The boat has almost no draft which means she floats in 8" of water to get at those hard to find fish.
She offers 360 degreefishing which means she can easily fish 2 anglers with room to spare and we can add a third angler for bottom fishing or trips where we use bait or live bait like Tarpon fishing trips.
Captain Terry will supply all licenses, tackle, bait, ice and drinking water. The only thing you will need is any snacks, special beverages, sun glasses and a smiling face. Maximum capacity on my boat is three anglers.
More boats are available for larger groups. So, if you're coming to Southwest Florida to stay in Sanibel, Captiva, Fort Myers, Naples, or here in Pine Island, you've made a great choice! While you're here, Captain Terry would be more than happy to take you out for a great day of fishing, or if you just want to see the sights, that's OK too.

Captain Terry has a Naples or Fort Myers charter fishing trip to fit everybody's schedule. He offers full, three quarter and half-day Fort Myers and Naples charter boat trips. He will supply the fishing licenses, gear, tackle, bait, ice and drinking water. All you need is comfortable clothing, a packed lunch and a positive attitude.
Captain Terry Pitz is a fully insured, US Coast Guard Licensed Captain and has over 12 years of fishing guide experience in Colorado, Alaska and Florida. This includes charter fishing in Naples and Fort Myers regions too. NOTE: If you're staying on the surrounding islands then the Captain can pick you up there or
you and he can make other arrangements to get together at the boat. |
What to Bring on a Fort Myers Fishing TripThese are a few items you may or may not want to bring. These are things to make you more comfortable on the water during the hot days of southwestern Florida.
Bring a cooler for food and drinks. Ask your Florida fishing boat Captain how large of a cooler you will need to carry your fish home in. |
A sports bag is a good idea to bring for carrying your rain gear, hat, glasses etc and other personal items that you need on a Naples or Fort Myers flats fishing trip. |
Bring all your food and drinks. If you want to bring beer you should clear it with your fishing guide first. |
If you will be fishing in foul or rainy weather then you may want to bring some gear to keep you dry. Not as important on boats with covers and cabins but on inshore boats you may not have the luxury of a cabin. |
Bring sun glasses. Preferrably polarized fishing glasses to lessen the sun's glare that reflects up off the water. Plus polarized glaases help you see the fish better in on the flats. |
Bring a camera to take snapshots of those big redish or snook you catch or video of the beautiful inshore waters of SW Florida and the Pine Island fishing area. |
A hat or ball cap is a good idea, especially for you guys that are getting a bit thin on top. Protect your head from the sun's burning rays. |
If you get sea sick or aren't sure if you get sea sick then it is a very wise idea to take your Dramamine before you leave the dock. Nothing can ruin a fishing trip worse than a guy named "RALPH". |
The Pine Island region and Fort Myers region can get very hot during the summer. Make sure you bring sunscreen, especially if you burn. If you have sunburn then you can't enjoy your light tackle or fly fishing trip to SW Florida. |
You probably already paid for the trip but you should make sure you have some cash in pocket so you can tip the guide or mate. Charter boat Captains operate on shoe string budgets, especially with gas prices nowadays plus it is not easy work so it is very common to give your guide or Captain a tip. |
Captain Terry uses top of the line fishing gear and safety equipment on his Florida fishing charters. Here are some of his sponsors.
A special thanks to all my pro guide sponsors: Berkley, Abu Garcia, Fenwick, Owner Hooks, Ross Reels, Sage Rods, GLoomis, Bass Assassin Lures, Flats & Bay Boats, Yamaha, Action Optics, Johnson, Mitchell, Cortland Lines, STH Reels, Daiichi, Hook & Tackle Clothing and Rio Fishing Products. Also to all my valued clients, friends & family for their never ending quest to keep me busy and allowing me to fulfill my dream. Thanks, Captain Terry Pitz
